First Bite at Paris Baguette
As a college student at Xavier University, I’m always looking for a close bite to eat and a hot coffee to get me in the study mood. Recently, I had the chance to try the Paris Baguette located in Rookwood Exchange. This location just opened up this month and is a perfect place for cozy vibes, pastry enthusiasts, and coffee addicts like myself!
The moment you walk in your attention is immediately drawn to the array of pastries on display. From croissants to donuts, to cakes, to baguettes, and even to mini pizzas everything looks absolutely delicious! The setup is simple: Grab a pair of tongs, grab a tray, then pick as many of the mouth-watering pastries that catch your eye. There are multiple cases of many different treats that are baked freshly every day.
Not a big sweets person? No problem! Paris Baguette offers savory options like smoked sausage bread, franks wrapped in croissants, cold sandwiches, bacon and cheese croissants, and many more! Plus they will happily heat up anything for you upon request.
Once you gather your pastries, you can go up to the counter where the friendly staff and tempting cakes greet you. I was even able to try a sample of the mocha cake as well as the cheesecake which were both very soft and flaversome. After trying one I knew that I couldn’t go without a slice and went with a ganache cream cake slice.
On top of all their sweets, there is also a variety of barista choices from smoothies, to teas, and frappes! They even have a winter seasonal butter pecan flavor that can come in a hot coffee, iced coffee, or a cold brew!
After checking out I made my way towards the seating section. They have a mix of tables as well as a few half-booths. If you are going there to work or study I recommend working at the half booth as they are conveniently located underneath the booth. On top of all of this, there is also free wifi available!
I kicked things off with a Pepperoni Pizzetta for my food choices, and it did not disappoint. It is a perfect lunch snack with just the right amount of crispiness. Next up, I tried the bacon, egg, and cheddar croissant. This was a cheesy breakfast masterpiece! To wash it down I tried a peach tea and a hazelnut coffee. Both had great flavors to go with my meal. The tea was super refreshing and the hazelnut coffee gave me a warm and cozy feeling. I then moved to the sweeter sides of things including the strawberry croissant and ganache cake. Both of these were amazing! The strawberry croissant had lots of cream and fresh strawberries and the ganache cake was even topped off with a macaron.
Would I recommend this spot? Of course! An automatic 10/10. Not only is it a fantastic place to eat and talk but a perfect place for studious college students like myself. Plus they have tons of parking and a variety of delicious options where everyone’s hunger needs are satisfied. If you’re craving something delicious and a comfortable place to work, this is the perfect place for you!!!
